Feel at Home

Though I guess you already do.

People remember how you made them feel, more than what you did for them. So not a surprise there is something magical about making people feel at home in your space, magical, just without the abracadabra. I have been thinking about this a lot lately, and it seems to tie to a statement my father made to me in passing a while back. If you have language that is all you really need, you can make it anywhere.

Years down the line the line rings true but with a twist. Language does not necessarily refer to the verbal aspect of it all. It is in who you are as a person and how you carry yourself, it is in the tone of the goodmorning. It is in the guts to point out your mistakes before they are even picked regardless of who is on the other side. It is the capacity to listen with the genuine intention to understand rather than to respond. It is in understanding the fact that the other person knows something that you don’t know. In the capacity to make the other person feel valued, because you truly do value them.

The above are all traits that can be fairly easily practiced and added to anybodys standard mode of operation. One of those small changes with big consequences. The ability to make anyone feel at home in your space will open doors to spaces you never imagined you yourself could someday call home.It works like magic, just minus the abracadabra.

If you would like me to shade more light on this feel free to shoot me an email at luckygriffin2@gmail.com. (I respond to all mails). Otherwise have a nice time and don’t forget to smile.
